Leandra Blei is a portrait artist and food photographer in Austin, Texas. When she’s not taking headshots, branding photos, or unconventional family portraits, Leandra volunteers her time and photography skills to document contemporary Latinx culture and empower communities of color. She has donated a series of photographs, which are now on display at the Mexic-Arte Museum in downtown Austin and will become a part of their permanent collection.
Why Choose Leandra Blei Photography?
Most people don’t like having their picture taken. Leandra doesn’t either—like you, she has a ‘good’ side and a ‘bad’ side and likes some parts of her body better than others. When you hire Leandra, you’re choosing a professional who gets it. She will help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and will guide you through the entire session to get the most flattering images.
For The Love of Food and Life
Leandra got her start in the service industry, shooting food and drinks for restaurants and bars. She moved on to people after receiving requests for headshots and special events. Today Leandra loves shooting adult women who are stepping into their life’s purpose. “There’s nothing more beautiful than a woman saying, ‘This is what I’m doing; this is who I am.’ Many women don’t take the time to focus on themselves, and they should.”.
Her career and love of travel have taken her around the world to Amsterdam, Belgium, Costa Rica, England, France, Germany, Mexico, Morocco, Peru, Spain, and other Western European countries. Having studied abroad, Leandra considers France a second home, visiting old friends and exploring new places each time she is able to make it back.
